Telegram Configurations

Introduction

This guide explains how to link your NewRA account with Telegram bot.

1. Log in or Create Your Telegram Account

Visit Telegram and either log in or create a new account.

2. Find BotFather

In the Telegram search, type "@BotFather" to find the official BotFather bot (look for the blue checkmark).

3. Start BotFather

Click on "Start" to activate the BotFather chatbot.

4. Explore BotFather Commands

BotFather will provide commands. Choose or type /newbot and send it.

5. Choose a Name and Username for Your Bot

Select a visible name and a unique username ending with "bot."

6. Bot Creation Confirmation

After naming your bot, it will be created. You'll receive a message with a link to your bot (t.me/<bot_username>) and instructions for setting up a profile picture, description, and commands.

7. Get Your Token for NewRA

Copy the token from BotFather. This token is required to connect your bot to NewRA. Paste the token into the Bot Token field in the configuration form.

8. Select Application

Choose the application from the dropdown whose data you want to use as the source chat datasource.

9. Validate and Save Configurations

Click the save button. The Webhook URL will be set using your bot token's callback URL, allowing your bot to receive all events.

Your Telegram chatbot is now configured and ready to communicate seamlessly with your subscribers through NewRA.
